Kate Raines is a somatic psychotherapist and in her own words “I help people understand why they eat when they are not hungry, especially after dinner.”

In this informative chat, Kate explains the nature of emotional eating and why diets and exercise alone don’t work long-term.

Kate shares some tips for those of us who struggle with eating after dinner and explains how intuition plus nutrition can set us free from self-loathing, judgement and guilt.

With over 20 years experience in psychotherapy, specialising in the mind/body connection, Kate helps people to change their thinking and behaviours to accomplish and maintain their personal goals.

In her private practice, Kate works with both individuals and groups to facilitate personal growth, self-regulation and a sense of vitality and aliveness. Her work is focused on individual needs in a safe and confidential environment.

Kate practices in both the Macedon Ranges and the Melbourne metropolitan area.

Kate is an approved service provider for Medibank Private. She holds professional clinical memberships with the Australian Somatic Psychotherapy Association (ASPA), the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Australian Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (ARCAP).

You can find Kate at her website.
