I created these Balls to tempt my vegan daughter to eat more hemp seeds! She loves them, and they’ve gone on to be one of my most popular Ball recipes.
They’re super quick to whip up once you’ve stocked up on hemp seeds. Play around with the chocolate chips – cacao nibs and dark chocolate work as well as leftover good-quality chocolate.
Dairy-free, low sugar, gluten-free
Ingredients
- 1 cup cashews
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/3 cup hemp seeds

- 1/4 cup coconut oil, unmelted
- 2 tblsp maple syrup or rice malt syrup
- 1/4 cup cacao nibs or chopped dark chocolate (I use 85% dark organic chocolate)
Instructions
- Measure cashews, oats, hemp seeds and chia seeds into Thermomix or high speed blender.
- Pulse 4 or 5 times till crumbly but not fine.
- Add coconut oil, maple syrup and cacao nibs and blend on lower speed.
