I’m noticing a lot of people are really stepping into their power. It’s exciting to see! There’s a fresh energy and a sense of possibility and growth.

It’s happened to me, too. I made a committment last year to go into 2018 with a more empowered approach to money and finances. Working for myself the past 6 years has been phenomenal but one of the biggest things I’ve noticed is fluctuating finances and isolation.

I wanted to be able to stand on my own two feet with more financial certainty. And be around people.

So towards the end of the year, I took on a casual position with a local community health centre. I was curious to check them out and let them check me out. And what I found was an amazing organisation filled with fantastic people.

All of a sudden I was surrounded by people again! Working solo I’d missed the company of colleagues. And here they were, supporting and welcoming me.

So when a leadership position became available, I jumped at it. These were my people! I wanted a part of what was happening. I worked my butt off preparing for the interview – 4 days straight, plus multiple phone calls with others working in the industry.

And guess what? I got the job! It’s a 12-month position and I’m loving it. I’m supporting the frontline workers who are providing an amazing service to people in my local community. I’m stretched into a management role that just feels right.

I truly feel I am exactly where I’m supposed to be.

I’m still coaching (my first love) and plan to continue. I see my face to face clients on Friday’s and phone clients after hours or Friday’s.

But my availability is limited and I can only take on new clients when an existing client finishes. Which happened on Friday. So there is one coaching spot available!
